Andre’ M. Brown was born on July 20, 1966 to Harold and Rose Brown.  He grew up in Aberdeen, graduating from Aberdeen High School in 1984.  After high school, Andre’ joined the Army in October of 1986, where he traveled to Somalia, Honduras, Saudia Arabia, and Germany.  He spent 8 years in the Army.

Andre’ worked for the Perry Point VAMC Hospital in Perry Point, MD for 10 years and now works for Cytec Engineering Materials, Inc.  Andre’ has six children, Ashley, Kendall, Tyler, Cierra, Cameron, and Andrea.  Andre’ resides in Aberdeen with his long-time fiancée of 16 years, Cheryl, and her son, Nathan.

He started bowling in 1989 just for fun; however, after being continuously beaten in bowling by his father and brothers, he chose to dedicate himself to bowling and to improve his skills.  Andre’ joined his first league in Newport News, VA where he caught the bug for bowling and rolled his first “300” game.  Later he would win his first bowling title in the NABI Tournament in Newport News, VA.

Returning to Aberdeen in 1994, he joined the Monday Night League with this father at Harford Lanes.  He later joined the Perry Point VAMC Mixed League which he is still a dedicated member.  He is also a member of the APG Men’s League. He’s been a dedicated member of Cecil-Harford USBC BA for 16 years and has bowled in 16 USBC National Tournaments.

He started coaching youth bowlers at Harford Lanes in 1997, because he wanted to give back to the sport of bowling.  Coaching is one of his favorite things to do, to teach the respect for and the fundamentals of the sport of bowling.

He shows his excellent coaching skills by being a committed mentor and coach to Cheryl by coaching her all the way to her induction into the Hall of Fame in 2002.  She credits his persistence and practice ethics to her success.

Andre’ continues to be an excellent bowler and striving for success by bowling two (2) perfect 300 games and two (2) 299 games already this bowling season.

Therefore, for his overall performance in the sport of tenpin bowling, the Cecil Harford USBC Bowling Association welcomes Andre’ M. Brown into its Hall of Fame in the Superior Performance category.
