Donna was born in Pottsville, PA and raised in Aberdeen, MD. She graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1975 and Salisbury State College in 1979. After graduating, Donna became a teacher at Saint Joan of Arc School teaching third grade. She has retired after 30 years of teaching and spends her days reading, attending to her three year old granddaughter and bowling.
Donna took up bowling as a youth bowler under the direction of Jerry Farro. She continued bowling in college and joined adult league bowling in 1984. She became secretary in 1993 on the Tuesday Fellowship League which moved to Wednesday night and then to Monday, which is now the Monday Night Ladies League.
She has been secretary of this league for the past 23 years and on Friday Night Mixed she has been secretary/treasurer for 13 years. During her years as secretary on these leagues, Donna has received the “Secretary of the Year” Award three times.
Donna became involved with youth bowling 20 years ago, setting up a Saint Joan of Arc After-School League which is still going on today even though she has retired.
In 1998 she became Secretary/Association Manager of the Cecil/Harford Youth Bowling Association. She has been chairman/director of the youth’s annual tournament, Pepsi Regional, youth banquet, scholarship committee, yearbook, and awards program and is still serving in this capacity.
Donna became a director on the board of Harford County Women’s Bowling Association in 2010 and continues serving on the Cecil/Harford USBC at this time. She became Association Manager in 2014, doing a great job.
