"Superior Performance"

In 1960 the Bel Air Women's Association was formed and was very fortunate to have Georgia Cooper serve as Vice President and later as President of the organization. In the local leagues of which she was a member, Georgia served as President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. She was a member of the State and National 600 Clubs and bowled in the Virginia StateTournaments prior to the organization of the Maryland State Women's Bowling Association.

Georgia's special quality was her superior bowling ability defying recommended instructions; using a 3 step approach and a "reversehook"in the delivery of her ten pound ball.

Her highest average of 181 brought about her selection as the Bowling Proprietors Association of America (BPAA) "Bowler ofthe Year" in the 1961/62 season; her invitation to the prestigious Evening Sun Paper Annual
Tournament and of three wins in the Harford County Invitational Tournament (1967, 1969, and 1970), ABC Tournaments, and also participated in many PBA Regional and House Tournaments.

She bowls in as many as three Leagues each season and is always well respected, not only for her bowling ability, but her sportsmanship. He is forever assisting others in their game whenever called upon to do so.
In the 1961/62 season Georgia rolled the second highest game and series at Bob Turley Bowl (now Bel Air Bowl), scoring a 248 game and 631 series. In 1963, she posted games of 233, 217, 193 and 256 for a fabulous 4 game set of 899. Georgia's career high game of 275 and series of 676 came in 1964 while bowling in the Harford County 600 Club Tournament.
