Gerald A. (Jerry) Farro was born in Wilmington, Delaware, on July 30, 1931. Later his family moved to Havre de Grace, where he has lived for many years.

 

Jerry's bowling career began with the opening of the Ideal Lanes (Harford Lanes) in Aberdeen in 1959.

 

He has promoted bowling in many ways. He first became involved in Junior bowling as as instructor in 1967.

 

He developed many fine bowlers including at least five PBA members and several top flight collegiate bowlers.

 

Jerry was the founding President of the Eastern Junior Bowling Association, serving from 1965 until 1986.

 

Jerry retired from the APG Procurement Office in 1987.

For his outstanding contributions to the game of American Tenpins, the Cecil-Harford Counties Bowling Association is pleased to induct Gerald A. Farro into its Hall of Fame.
