In the early years of the Cecil-Harford Counties Bowling Association, John Piper was regarded as one of our Association's outstanding bowlers.

He won the prestigious Harford County Invitational Tournament in 1964 and 1965. In the 1965 Association Tournament John and his Doubles partner won the Scratch title and he and his team mates took the Scratch Team Championship as well.

For three consecutive years, beginning in 1961, John posted the Association's high average, with a personal best of 209.

This era was the height of team bowling. John's teams were consistently among the Association's best. They were champions in several highly competitive leagues, including the Harford County League in 1961 and 1965. John was also one of the first recipients of the Bill Snavely Sportsmanship Award.

John's outstanding bowling career ended all too soon with his passing in 1967.

For his outstanding achievements in the game of American Ten Pins, the Cecil-Harford Counties Bowling Association is pleased to induct John Piper into it's Hall of Fame.
