Mary was a member of the Harford County WBA for over 20 years before her death in 1983.
A Director on the Baltimore Board, in 1962, she started laying the groundwork to have Aberdeen, APG and Bainbridge bowlers withdraw from Baltimore and become Bel Air WBA (now HCWBA) members.
She then became a Director on our Board 1963-64 and was President 1964-66. She stepped down then and was a Director again from 1966-71. Then Mary had a lot of health problems and couldn't bowl for awhile.
In 1978 she came back to the Board as Secretary and remained in that office until her death in March of1983.
Mary's HCWBA committee work was mostly with Legislative, Auditing and Nominating. She was a past Editor of the Pin Dust Newsletter. She served as a WlBC National Delegates eleven times and was a Delegate to the State meetings many times. She was a member of our 500 and 600 Clubs.
A Charter Member of the Maryland State WBA, Mary was on the first Legislative Committee, drafting the original State Constitution, Tournament Manual and Policy Manual.
In 1964 Mary was a Maryland State First Vice President and from 1965 to 1970 she was State Secretary. She received the Maryland State President's Award in 1967for outstanding ability and distinguished service. She was made a Life Member in 1975 and in 1977 Mary was the first inductee into the Maryland State Hall of Farme, inducted for Meritorious Service.
